Am an A Cup Looking to Go to a B Cup Will a Gel Implant That is Over the Muscle. How Long Will my Recovery Time Be?

Published on July 22, 2013

Generally it takes about 6 weeks to be able to return to all regular activity and exercise from a sub muscular breast augmentation procedure.  This is because the pectoralis muscle is attached to the arm bone (humerous), which means that any time there is motion to the arm there could be motion to the pec muscle which can in turn move the implant.  It usually takes about 6 weeks before all this can settle down and not be a problem.  If the implant is above the muscle the recovery is usually easier with less discomfort but it still may take 6 weeks before there is enough healing strength to resume full activities.
