Facelift Inland Empire

If you feel like the skin on your face is too loose, causing you to look older or tired, a facelift in the Inland Empire with Dr. Wali could be the next step in meeting your beauty enhancement goals.

Throughout one’s life, the sun’s radiation, stress, gravity, and other factors cause the skin to sag and fit more loosely. Areas of the face and neck, in particular around the jaw line, are especially prone to the aging process. Though these changes are gradual, wrinkles and other signs of aging can make individuals “feel older” than they really are.

At Plastic Surgery SoCal, we understand how important confidence is in our everyday lives. We want our patients to feel empowered and motivated at the beginning of every day. A facelift (rhytidectomy) is designed to smooth and firm the skin, providing a fresh, youthful appearance.

Surgery for a facelift involves the contraction and realignment of facial and neck skin, and in some instances the removal of excess fat deposits. Dr. Wali often performs facelifts in combination with other facial cosmetic procedures in order to achieve the ideal anti-aging results.

Reasons to Consider Facelift Surgery

  • Sagging skin, muscles, and fat in the face and neck
  • Excess skin and fat on the neck
  • Sagging jaw line
  • Crease lines along the nose, mouth, and chin

The Facelift Procedure

A face lift may take several hours or longer depending on whether other cosmetic procedures are completed at the same time. Sometimes other procedures may be performed in separate appointments.

Dr. Wali uses several different facelift techniques and always discusses each technique with patients during a consultation in order to provide the most information possible in advising which technique is best for each individual patient.

The standard procedure for a facelift commonly involves making small incisions just inside the hairline, following the contour in front of the ear, and continuing under the earlobe to the backside of the ear and to the lower scalp.

Tissue and fat deposits are separated, the skin is stretched and tightened, and any excess skin is removed. If the neck line requires attention, Dr. Wali will make an additional incision under the chin and the same procedure is again followed.

Minuscule stitches are used to close the incisions and to reduce any chance of scarring. Metal clips or staples may also be utilized at the hairline. Immediately after surgery, the face is fitted with bandages in order to decrease the recovery time and to reduce swelling.

Dr. Wali and his staff are amazing. Very professional;whenever I come in I always feel welcomed and it’s an extremely comfortable environment. I would highly recommend him. They do an excellent job with appointments and reminders.

Recovery Time

Generally, post-operative instructions call for plenty of rest and limited movement in order to speed up the healing and recovery process. Bruising and swelling will be present for a time, but these can be reduced with cold compresses and by keeping the head elevated. Time off from work will be required.

The stitches, clips or staples are normally removed within a week. Patients sometimes report some minor pain associated with surgery. Any discomfort can be treated effectively with oral medication. While complications are rare, patients can minimize potential problems by carefully following the directions given after the procedure.

Once full recovery is complete, patients can enjoy their results. For a better concept of your potential results, look over the facelift before and after photos in our gallery.

Facelift Cost

When determining the overall cost of a patient’s facelift, the details of their case must be taken into account. The type of anesthesia administered, the techniques involved, and the time needed to perform the surgery all play a role in the final price of a rhytidectomy.
